Cabana Rental Questions

  • Thundering Surf Waterpark offers two Cabana experiences:

    • Main Level Sundeck Cabanas

    • Upper Level Tree House Cabanas

    Each option offers shaded seating, premium amenities, and a relaxing home base for your day. Sundeck Cabanas are located on the main level of the waterpark near our Toddler Area. The Tree House Cabanas are located above the Lazy Crazy River and are accessible by stairs only.

  • Our Sundeck Cabanas are located on the main deck of our waterpark right next to the Toddler Area and near the Cowabunga Beach splash area. This is a perfect spot for families with small children who will enjoy being right by all the splash fun!

    Our Tree House Cabanas are perched above the Lazy Crazy River giving guests a secluded retreat high above the park. To access these cabanas, guest will use the private staircase located just down the path from the Lazy Crazy River entrance point.

  • Sundeck Cabanas are available for either 3-hour rentals (Morning: 9:30am – 12:30pm or Afternoon: 1:30pm – 4:30pm) or all-day rentals (9:30am – 5:30pm).

    Tree House Cabanas are available as an all-day rental from 9:30am – 5:30pm.

  • Sundeck Cabanas are $160 for a 3-Hour rental and $199 for an all-day rental. Tree House Cabanas are $249 for an all-day rental.

  • No. Waterpark admission is not included and must be purchased separately for each guest.

  • We have five (5) Sundeck Cabanas and five (5) Tree House Cabanas.

  • Each Sundeck Cabana includes a variety of lounge chairs and deck chairs, tables, a complimentary locker rental, complimentary bottled water (1 per guest) and complimentary beach towels (1 per guest).

    Tree House Cabanas include three lounge chairs, a table with chairs, chaise lounge with coffee table, roll-up and sheer curtains, a complimentary locker rental, complimentary bottled water (1 per guest), and complimentary beach towels (1 per guest).

    All Cabana rental includes attentive Cabana service, with dedicated servers available to take food and beverage orders from our Cabana menu.

  • Sundeck Cabanas can accommodate up to eight (8) guests and Tree House Cabanas can accommodate up to ten (10) guests.

    Groups larger than the maximum are welcome to reserve adjacent cabanas if available. If you are looking to book multiple cabanas at the same time, they must be booked in advance.

  • The Pier Sundeck Cabana is ADA-compliant and wheelchair accessible.

  • Yes! Multiple Cabanas can be booked for larger groups, subject to availability. All multiple Cabana reservations must be made in advance.

  • We do offer same day rentals if there are unoccupied cabanas. To ensure you are able to rent a cabana, we strongly recommend pre-booking online.

  • Cabanas are private and reserved exclusively for your group. Each Cabana is located within a shared Cabana area alongside other Cabanas, similar to a resort-style setting.

     

  • We do not allow any outside food or beverages inside Thundering Surf Waterpark, including the Cabanas. We have attentive Cabana service with dedicated servers available to take food and beverage orders from our Cabana menu.

  • Please check in at our Guest Services desk upon arrival. You will need to scan your admission passes or purchase them if you did not purchase them ahead of time with your Cabana rental. Form there, our team will show you to your Cabana rental.

  • When you book a Cabana rental online, you will receive a pass with a QR code on it. Just share that QR code with the person is attending and they will be able to check in for the Cabana rental.

  • Reservations may be canceled up to 48 hours prior to the scheduled date for a full refund.

  • If weather conditions significantly disrupt Waterpark operations, the following policy applies: If all attractions are closed for a continuous sixty (60) minutes due to weather, or if weather conditions result in repeated full-park attraction suspensions, guests with a Cabana reservation may reschedule their Cabana for another available date within the same operating season. If rescheduling cannot be accommodated due to capacity, the guest will receive a gift card for the full amount paid for the Cabana rental. Gift cards are non-refundable and have no cash value. 

    The gift card may be used toward:
    • Admission tickets
    • A future Cabana rental
    • Food and beverage purchases within the park

  • Towels are available exclusively with Cabana Rentals. Each cabana includes four (4) complimentary towels, with additional towels available upon request.

    A $20 fee per towel will be charged to the reservation for any towels not returned or not left in the cabana at the end of the rental period.

    Towels are not available to rent separately from a cabana. Guests may purchase towels in the Main Lobby.
