Yes- Thundering Surf Waterpark and Adventure Golf has been purchased by The Wainwright Family. The Wainwright’s (owners of Fantasy Island Amusement Park right next door), are very excited to be the new stewards of Thundering Surf. They plan to continue the clean, family fun guests have come to know. Thundering Surf and Adventure Golf will remain a waterpark and a mini-golf course as they have for the last 49 seasons. We are all very excited to celebrate Thundering Surf’s 50th season together during the Summer of 2026!

‍ Yes- All tickets and gift certificates purchased prior to November 15, 2025  will be honored for the next two seasons (Summer 2026 and Summer 2027).

‍Accepted tickets include:

• All Day All Access Passes (sold during the Holiday and Easter Sales)

• Multi-Day Passes (sold online and during Holiday and Easter Sales)

• ‍Fun Day Passes (Fundraiser passes sold via PTO’s, PTA’s and other local organizations)

• Hourly (2 & 3 hours) Admission (sold online and during Holiday and Easter Sales)

• ‍All Day passes (sold online and during Holiday and Easter Sales)

• ‍Gift Certificates

• ‍eGift Cards

You must have the physical ticket or gift certificate with you when you visit the waterpark in order to redeem it. All tickets must be surrendered at the time of redemption. If you have any questions regarding your previously purchased items, please email us at info@ThunderingSurfLBI.com

We will be offering a Fundraiser program for organizations to utilize. This program will roll out in January after the Holidays. If you are interested in receiving more information or signing up for the program, please email us at groups@thunderingsurflbi.com and our team will reach out to you with more details!  

There will be no changes to the attractions and amenities that guests love about Thundering Surf and Adventure Golf. The six Serpentine Slides, Lazy Crazy River, Cowabunga Kids area, Toddler area, Rainbow Rapids slides, Flow Rider, ten cabanas and all 36 holes of golf will all be the same as they were in 2025! The one change that guests will immediately notice is a new ticketing system.

If you purchase online during this year’s Holiday Sale, Easter Sale, or during the season, you will receive a digital ticket. We will no longer be mailing anything physical if you purchase online.

Adventure Golf will open in the Spring and Thundering Surf in early June. As we get closer to the warmer months, we will update our operating hours on our website and make announcements on our social media channels. Be sure to follow us for updates!

Yes! We are excited to welcome back groups who have visited us in prior seasons as well as new groups who have just discovered us. We’ll have more information on groups in the new year, but you can fill out our form here and a member of our team will reach out to you.

Yes, the Flow Rider will continue to be an attraction that is included in your waterpark admission. It is also available for afterhours private rentals and birthday parties! Reach out to us at info@ThunderingSurfLBI.com if you’re interested in renting the FlowRider in the 2026 season.

No. This will remain a separate admission as it always has been; however, there will be combo tickets available for purchase during the season and during the Black Friday sale just as there have been in the past.
